took my solar panel, battery, and a coffee machine up to the mountains for a coffee break during storm damage cleanup work. to my surprise, the 120w rated panel delivered 114w peak. that is close to spec. expected much less.
enjoy the video and the beautiful view (of nature, not me, lol):

i stayed for another 15 years in the 1-2h drive vicinity of munich and two years in munich itself. found love, got married, and then corona catapulted me somehow to norway where i fell in love with secluded mountain land, then london of all places in the middle of the pandemic and in ‘21 i landed somehow in california where, for the first time, i was able to buy a small piece of mountain land to build a home. yesterday we had snow. for real. my bavarian wife felt at home :) · 4 months ago
@bavarianbarbarian oberpfalz is very very beautiful. in fact, all of bavaria is so beautiful and people are relatively sane compared to where i am from. at 22 i got drafted by the military from up north down to murnau am staffelsee. my first time bavaria. · 4 months ago
god, i wish i lived in a place like that · 4 months ago
@danrl oberpfalzer seenland ;) near regensburg where i lived almost 20 years, but now i moved back to my parents, for they are retering and need my help. i am the housekeeper now, gardening, cooking, housework, all the little things. i am a simple man, i don't need much to live. internet, food, a garage with a workbench, and of course, a cat ;) and some beer from time to time xD · 4 months ago
@bavarianbarbarian almost dorfkind. small rural town, so had some „city“ life mixed into my childhood and def teen years. the view is indeed awesome. would have never been able to afford it in good ol‘ deutschland.
