Re: "What are your favorite PS2 titles?"
Tekken Tag Tournament, Gran Turismo 3, and Rival Schools were probably my favorite games for the PS2! I guess technically Rival Schools was for the PS1, but part of the fun was always the backwards compatibility. I never had a PS1, so it was a PS2 game for me! :)

This is hard for me to make a list because PS2 had such a huge library of great games. My favorites would have to be Angel's Present (coming soon to Switch in English miraculously, this is my personal Mother 3), La Pucelle (also now on Switch), Haunting Ground, Rule of Rose, Dark Cloud, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, Gitaroo Man, Rez, We Love Katamari, Roommania 203 and Space Channel 5 for Dreamcast ports...if you wanna get weird, The Daibijin and Dog of Bay.
Katamari, God of War, all the Ratchet and Clank games, Lego Starwars (original trilogy)
I think that the "Tales of ..." series was around its peak in the PS 2 era. Tales of Legendia and Tales of the Abyss were great games.
I remember Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana extremely fondly. I haven't played it in about 15 years. I hope it's actually as good as I remember. Beats the heck out of more recent Atelier Iris titles, for sure.
As Acidus already mentioned, Katamari Damacy and We Love Katamari are gems.
If you want to try something truly bizarre, check out "Chulip". It's...well, it's something, that's for sure.

What are your favorite PS2 titles? — While some may not consider it "retro" as such, as a younger millennial I spent most of my childhood gaming on a Sony PlayStation 2. I was especially fond of the Jak and Daxter and Splinter Cell series. Since re-acquiring a fat PS2 as an adult, I've been eager to check out some of the more obscure (in the US at least) titles out there. I've been working my way through King's Field IV and Nightmare of Druaga lately. I'd love to hear what other folks'...
