I love how there are so many niche topic logs on the smallweb. Just people posting about nerdy topics without any need for analytics or "engagement". It's what the web was always supposed to be.
I really need to read up on Gopher at some point.
Having fun wandering around Tallinn at the moment. Great little city. Rฤซga was a slight disappointment, but I think it'd be great to visit if I had local friends there to show me around. Bring on Turku next!
Moved into a new place and the internet won't be connected for a week, so it looks like I'll mostly be consuming the web through Gemini to save my mobile data.
Twitter is dying! It's Station's time, down here!
Any writers out there looking to try something fun? Typst is a pretty interesting project to try and get the power of LaTeX into something easier to handle.

I love it when I have a lot of work to do but it's all dependent on other people doing something. Feels productive.
Stuck in an airport. Utter nightmare trying to travel home for the holidays despite leaving at the beginning of the month.
Glad I decided not to try and leave nearer the timeโฆ
Oh no. I'm starting to like emacs again.
I've mentioned it a couple of times, but if anyone is interested in IRC I've set up #station over on Libera Chat as a place we can hang out on the edges of Gemspace.
So. No sleep again. Cool.
I'm slowly getting back into IRC, but it really feels a lot emptier than it used to. Does anyone have any interesting channels to recommend?
Just set up an IRC bouncer for the first time since I was a teenager. I remember precisely nothing about how I did this before.
Well, Iโm up I guess. Sleep is such a fleeting thing.
Decided to start up a new gemlog just for the lulz. Somewhat frustrating experience due to the fact that I'd forgotten how I set up my hosting records ๐
Listen to Jean Michel Jarre while browsing Gemini for the optimal experience.
Spent a little bit of time this morning (1-5am is still morning, yes?) checking out some of the cool new things that I've missed in Gemini. Wow, this has come a long way.
Both Lagrange and amfora offer excellent browsing experiences, we've got an awesome looking microblogging site here, there's proper news aggregates which proxy web content... It's amazing what's been done since last I was here.
This is very exciting! I've not come across something like this in the gemspace before (although, to be fair, I have been absent for over a year). What else is interesting around here?
