I ran 2 Zoom classes yesterday and putzed around the house. In amongst all that I neglected to write anything.
Here I am today, mid job application and I hit the wayback machine to find when I first put stunik.com online. In an effort to up-sell my computer skills and knowledge.
Best I can tell it was 2001.
Needless to say looking at the changes my site underwent over all those years was impressive. I even might hit the darkroom with an old recipe I 'blogged' about back in about 2003. At that time I was writing a html page most days, time-stamping and 'ftping' it to my server as my early blogging efforts went. I still have most of the pages buried away in the archive of my site.
This weekend will see me indulging my lovely other half. It's her birthday and we always spoil each other. Breakfast in bed as a minimum. Other stuff includes, fancy hotels around town and dinners and lunches out. Not so much now with lockdowns and Covid. Many businesses have pivoted in these austere times and we are going to capitalise on that instead.
Several times a year I dip into a social media app called peach. It perhaps was intended to be a competitor to twitter, or tumblr, who knows? I found it thanks to J. Kottke. It's pretty much dead in the water anyway. I follow 2 or 3 people and am followed by a couple of spammy/porn accounts ( I discovered today). Anyway as nobody reads it I often post there, uncensored. A nice way to look back at times in the past. Just to remind myself, when it feels like things are getting too much IRL. I wasn't able to find anything concrete about it online though.
