I am so excited!!! I was browsing for events to vend at and I found this:

http://woetothee.com/

Oh my god do I want to vend at that event. Yes I do. Bunch of weirdos, yes, yes, yes. Let me at it. So excited!

This is my new goal in life. I must vend at this event before we depart the Land of Crab.

I updated my spreadsheet of expenses and ha ha, I have spent enough on this business. From now on I need to sell product. I spent about $500 on tent and display stuff (including the additional walls to turn my tent into a luminary, which I prob should not have bought but they went half off). That's tent, tent extras like stakes and weights and sidewall options, fabric for tablecloths and decorative additions, sign, display items, stuff for product photos, etc. The whole setup for selling at outdoor markets. I've spent $400 on base product, totaling 50 pieces at an average of $8. I've spent $300 on tools and ancillary supplies, like burrs and the vise and eye pro and patina and stuff to print business coasters. It is more than I thought my initial outlay would be. I thought I'd be spending closer to $600-800, lols. But my setup is solid, like, I should be good to go for a while. I have all the things. 50 pieces of product is decent to start with. If I sell half that I should recoup my startup costs. The trick, of course, is actually selling. Which means my art better be rad.

I need to sell the bejeezus out of these cups in the next couple of months, so I can scrape together the $500 to go vend at the masquerade event. This is my goal now.

I'm still trying to figure out how to get info out of that farm women's market thing. I want to go down there and find a real person to harass, plus see the market. I've only walked past the building when it has been closed. I told spouse I was thinking of taking public transit and he's like, but you can't take the bus until you have your second shot. On the one hand, THE HELL YOU SAY I can't go somewhere I want to go, and on the other hand, how nice that he's not shoving me out the door into unnecessary exposure. I've wondered a few times if spouse wished I'd just suck it up and go back to work, especially since he got vaccinated and the risk to his dream job is over. So it's comforting to know he doesn't want me to get sick any more than I wanted him to get sick.

I'd rather spend $8 on metro fare to go there in person than cold call them on the phone, ha ha. But literally all I have is a phone number. Ugh. :-( And I think it's my best shot for May vending.
