i am using own build of lagrange for mobile linux (described a bit at gemini://bbs.geminispace.org/s/mobile-linux/2051).

i wonder if it is possible to use the same identity i use here on motorola droid 4 running maemo leste on my desktop linux machine. i found idents directory in .config/lagrange as well as idents.lgr file. if i sync those files will i be able to use same identity from both devices? is it how it is supposed to be when using gemini protocol or it is supposed to have different identities from different devices?

when the identity expires, will i be able to generate a new keypair and connect it to my same account on bubble?

Syncing the files in the "idents" directory is enough. Those are the actual certificates. The "idents.lgr" is a binary file that contains the activated URLs and custom notes about the certificates.

It is up to you. Some capsules support multiple certificates per account, so you can register a different one for each device. It will be safer to have multiple, so one expiring certificate will not lock you out.

Yes. Preferably you would do that before the expiration. You can go to your certificate settings and set a temporary password that allows you to then register a new certificate to your existing account:
