I’m into a ton of comics. My current pull list is Monstress, a bunch of the Hix books, Stillwater, Le Tigre des Neiges… I’m reading through a pile of older dailies like Rip Kirby &co. I’ve read pretty much everything Vertigo ever did. I’ve been on a manga spree reading through like twenty full series the last year.
I get that I lose cred for putting up Carl Barks & Archie Comics in this bee in a “she said that Glee was her favourite band” kind of way. Buuuut: Honestly. The 2×3 grid and efficient story telling w/o overuse of narration is basically my ideal standard.
1. Aniara (the 2018 remake)
2. Tangled*
3. Frozen*
4. Being John Malkovich*
5. Kill Bill*
6. Battle Royale
7. Fucking Ă…mĂĄl
8. The Living Castle
9. The Haunting (1963)
10. Star Wars (Not sure which. Either 1977, Rogue One, or one of the Rey ones.)
Notes:
Marked with * might have some iffy choices producers or cast. Viewer discretion as always. The Me Too era cleared out my entire typ four at the time (and Aniara wasn’t out). So if you want to scratch them, that’s fine. It’s just a top 6 then.
Also, these aren’t necessarily the most rewatchable. I’ve seen The Addams Family Values a thousand times and will probably see it a thousand more. While Aniara I might never be able to see again. Rot 13 spoiler: (vg’f xvaqn urnil)
I still need to make a list of fave TV shows. Adventure Time, Midnight Gospel, not sure what else fits in there. Dead To Me maybe.
1. Chris Claremont

6. Larry Hama
7. Joss Whedon
8. Brian Michael Bendis

Claremont is like my writing god. The focused totality of my telepathic powers.
1. Version 2.0 — Garbage
2. The Rite of Spring — Fireworks Ensemble
3. Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie — Alanis Morissette
4. Hålrum — Niellerade Fallibilisthorstar
5. The Blue Album — Weezer

7. De Stijl — The White Stripes
8. Well Forked But Not Dead — Crass
9. Live — Ebba Grön
10. Skeletons from the Closet — Grateful Dead
If there could be more than one album for each band in there, there’d be a ton more Garbage and White Stripes, and some records from the bands that spun out of Ebba Grön, like PLP (“Peace, Love, and Pitbulls”).
