CODE

making lights blink

We used to think we were pretty hot shit when it came to writing software. It's been 20 years since then and I have hardly written a line in the past 5 years. I have decided that I should rectify this situation and a nice project to get my feet wet was fIxing my site generation.

Muffet[1] is the replacement of oscean[2] for static site generation. As of the time of writing it supports outputing a single cannonized file of the whole database and preliminary gemini files in a flat directory structure. There is no support for keeping track of changes to the structure, altho it is desireable for automated RSS[3] generation. Future updates will support HTML, once gemini generation is at a good point to table. Gopher was on the short list for support, however after digging into how it works more, there is little benifit over gemini, so if it's going to be supported it will be at a later time.

Slov[4] is the indental[5] backend which muffet uses. It supports only multiline ndtl files. It makes only the following assumptions about the schema - there are no keys or lists with the name 'keys' or 'lists'.
