<2020-11-11 Wed> I've spent a fair amount of time recently getting my personal email moved over to Emacs. I've had my work email synced via offlineimap & imapfilter for about a year. I like it quite a bit because it allows me to stay within Emacs and not sit in a webmail browser all day.
Different from my work email setup, I've managed to get encryption mostly setup as well, so I can decrypt emails that are sent to me. The only encrypted emails I've gotten thus far are from [sourcehut], my new git hosting provider.
I've really enjoyed sourcehut's website in what I'm calling "socially distant coding". Instead of building a social network around your git repository, they shunt you off to mailing lists.
As part of this, they encourage an email-oriented patch workflow, similar to git/linux/etc. They built a website called [git-send-email.io] which walks you through how to actually set things up. It also has an interactive tutorial for sending patches, which I found novel and fun.
