Leaving mobile-first behind?

I've been investing a bit more into my personal Linux setup. This has included moving my mail rules to `imapfilter `, email reading to `mu4e `, etc. As I continue down this path, it pushes these activities towards being done on my computer (where I have emacs setup) and not my mobile phone (where I have less-customized viewers).

When I look at RSS feeds, as a potential next target, there's a trade-off. On one hand, a mobile reading experience allows me to read on the go, which is likely to increase the sum-total of information I read. Pulling that into my desktop has the effect of letting me seamlessly take notes as well as stare at my phone less often. This is a draw for me as I find myself getting lost in my phone when I could otherwise be participating in the world around me.

Have others thought through this? Where did you land?
