tried to pull a utility trailer uphill on the questionable dirt road. spent the rest of the day recovering the trailer and secure my jeep. we definitely need a new road. if only the fire code wouldn’t be so damn strict. can’t see yet where we could cut a compliant road. this is going to cost me a fortune…

I seem to be having trouble syncing message history in Gajim. If I recieve messages while Gajim isn't running, it won't show them. It says there aren't any messages. I'm on a server that supports MAM, and I can sync history on Conversations just fine. I think I'm doing something wrong, but I'm not sure what.

spending another night aline in nature. some noises still scare me a little. there is much that i can’t attribute correctly yet. let me tell you one thing: nature nights aren’t quiet at all! (that isn’t news to me, but having camped for decades on a different continent this one has its own set screeches, chirps, crackling noises and what not)

Just finished writing a basic gempub viewer called "gemv" (how original ...). It's written in Python with Kivy. It can read gempub or epub ebooks (they are converted on-the-fly). bringing my personal computer to work has been a real game changer, now when I have 40 mins to kill between schedule things instead of playing on the phone or staring into space I can boot up some computer games or do some writing/digital creation. This is actually the first time in a long time that I've been forced to use the laptop offline for long periods of time and frequently. I may have to revisit ploums offpunk now that its sync feature actually matters to me.
