Tv shows, TPB/Swearnet, And struggles with CGI

Post-Log Realizations

Hello! So What I learned from last log is that I probably-

ew fuck no just saw my cat eat a old dirty loaded spider web. Mega-Yuck.

What was I saying? Oh ye. So last log took too long to write and was probably too long to read for many. Its one of my best works for sure to this point. Just the right blend of patented smokey ramble across different subjects criss crossing between them like a game of literary hopscotch. But it took like 5 hours of my time all things said and done. Im not doing that again for a while. When I said "1 or 2 paragraphs a day" I meant like 5, not 30 a day. So yeah I will keep in mind to not get crazy about it for a few logs to balence it out..

Voices Of Gemini

Ive been entertaining doing a one off audio log. Just 5 minutes of me introducing myself and talking about a subject. It would be neat to try and convince some other capsuleers to do the same. "The Voices Of Gemini".

Tv Shows

Two more weeks until I can finish some tv shows Ive gotten into like 'Better Call Saul' and 'Stranger Things'. I dont like the modern trend thats being set to split seasons into halves, and it feels like all the entertainment companies are doing some back-room conspiring to release them at the same times like this july. I do understand it though, keeps people intrested for longer and they cant just cancel their sub after the month the season drops.

TPB

Speaking of shows, me and my mom watch Park After Dark on swearnet. Trailer park boys has been one of my favorite shows for years. The humor is just right for me, perfect show to get drunk or high and have a laugh with the bois. What all good entertainment should strive to be, fun. Even their less popular stuff like the europe and america specials always at least gave me a occasional chuckle. The live shows they do on tour are also bangers. And all of that was *before* swearnet.

Swearnet

Swearnet is the company started by Rob, JP, and Mike, the real life counter parts to the TPBS three main actors. The swearnet movie does a good job expaining/dramatizing the situation. They were confident that enough fans would pay 5$/m or 20$/y to watch their stuff on their exclusive network. And boy, howdy we sure did. The Park After Dark podcast is alone worth it (and free to listen to, but your missing on the videos) but they also payrolled dozens of experemental shows with fun actors who never would have gotten a chance to do something that that otherwise. Just finished up Swearnet behind the scenes and TPB Jail, both great! Exclusive TPB tour shows like the last one john dunnsworth did before he sadly passed away you cant find anywhere else. Even the cat animations where they animate over audio clips from the show are cute. And they all swear, Fuck Yeah BOIS!

The Age Of Independent Creators

I would gladly pay 20$ a year to the bois than pretty much any other subscription service. Thats the whole schtick of patreon in the modern era, throwing a buck or two at people you like and get enjoyment out of their work. Rob, JP and Mike are old-money though. They are old guys in their 40s who started as film school kids in 1996. Most old people dont adapt too well to technology but they are a rare example of creative and open minded people using the internet to claim independence from the old money of television. Seriously, check em out and listen to some of their podcast.

CGI Scripts

I am considering a CGI script going for a guestbook and a comment system. The problem is Im basically stupid and dont understand how to make CGI scripts work after copy and pasting the shebangs and code really. The tilde.team wiki briefly mentioning it for gemini isn't enough for my dense ass to puzzle out. Trying to search for tutorials on gemini has yeilded fuck all. So until I find what im looking for email/xmpp is still the way to go. Should I put my email at the end of each post instead? Are things good how they are? Your thoughts?
