Ken, Okay, you forced me into action...And boy, do you owe me! <smile>  I had
to hold the bed rail up with one arm while I yanked my plastic-bag wrapped
DMP2100P out with the other hand.  I couldn't let go, because I would have
crunched the printer.  (I keep it as a spare under the bed...) (Now that I've
instilled guilt...<sorry>: I am running the printer as an IBM Proprinter.  I
have my DIP switches set as follows:  ON:  3, 6, 7, 8...........OFF: 1,2,4,5

Remember that "ON" is switched toward you as you face the printer.

The switches: 1,2,3 control font selection as follows: High-speed draft
10cpi: 1,2,3 all OFF

High-speed draft 12 cpi: 1 ON, 2,3 OFF

High speed draft 16.7cpi:  1,3 OFF, 2 ON

HQ Elite 10cpi: 1,2 ON, 3 OFF

HQ courier 10cpi:  1,2 OFF, 3 ON

HQ Elite 12cpi: 1,3 ON, 2 OFF

HQ Elite Proportional:  1 OFF, 2,3 ON

HQ Courier Proportional:  1,2,3 all on

Switch 4:  OFF: Data Processing Mode/ON: Word Processing Mode

Switch 5:  OFF: Line Feed=Line Feed Only/ON: Line Feed= New Line

Switch 6: OFF: Carriage Return=New Line/ON: Carriage Return=Carriage Return

Switch 7:  OFF: TRS Character Set/ON: IBM Character Set #1

Switch 8:  OFF:   TRS-80 Mode/ON:  IBM PC Mode

Switch 8 may be the one you're looking for.
