I don't have a flight log on my capsule, mostly because I already record one-off thoughts using an offline microblogging script. Were I to use the format, however, it seems to me that twtxt would be perfect for the job.
In fact, Gemini and a simple format like twtxt seem to go well together in general. On the client side, I can picture a Gemini client storing a set of URLs to twtxt pages, parsing them into a single timeline, and pulling updates at regular intervals. Conversely, on the server side, a capsule could store a set of URLs in a certificate-specific file, then parse those URLs to create a timeline for the owner of the certificate.
By specifying a user or a URL in a post, users could respond to each other and have (public) conversations through the format. Of course, to participate, users would need a place to host their twtxt file, but tildes and other hosting services can do this pretty easily, and clients could be created to interface with the files automatically.
It might be an interesting concept to try out someday.
