2022/0829/1645 — wet ride home

So hard to maintain the motivation to write things down, some days it seems the world is on repeat and nothing much new happens, then I kick myself into action and write something down

Cold and damp along the Scotchmans Creek trail on the ride home, it wasn't raining but there's still water dripping from the gum trees overhead. Wattles and eucalyptus scents in the air, and Magpies[1] and Currawongs[2] calling from the treetops. Passing through the Huntingdale wetlands the frogs have all come to life, there's a never ending POK-POK-POK! from the reeds where the Striped marsh frogs[3] are calling... at least I think that's the right frog, seems to be according to the frog ID app and the recordings in the other wetlands

[1] Magpie

[2] Pied currawong

[3] Striped marsh frog
