New year, new resolutions

As I'm writing this it's officially the first hour of 2023! I don't have expectations of this year, I just want to keep improving and reach a lifestyle I can be satisfied with, whilst being more present and more "me," also a lot more of (applied!) philosophy for sure.

At the moment, I'm reorganizing my digital life, so you could say my resolution is to definitely be more "out of date" with things, as to limit the flow of information, to be slower, more present. I've curated my RSS feeds and my bookmarks, I've also bought an nice e-reader, using a 4:3 resolution on my computer and switched to an old-ish (un)smartphone with a custom ROM. I'll get a few words written about the topics I've mentioned in the upcoming days. Even while not being present on social media, being on the Internet is still overwhelming for various reasons, which is why I want to start using Gemini and Gopher again more often, as I found myself using the Corporate Web more than I would have liked.

Getting to a point where the Internet is just a tool is where I want to get. Our current lives are too intertwined with it, it must be a voluntary thing. I'm definitely picking Offpunk up and setting up my RSS feeds there, along with being offline more. Although I still want my IRC.

It's also hard to get involved into politics without getting involved and getting hooked on the "news" too much, I find it tiring, so I believe I'm taking a break from that. Just want to live it my way, at least at the moment.

In a nutshell: more real life, less Internet, Internet = tool, read more, live in the present more, communicate more, definitely write more fiction and on my blog (definitely aiming to make my capsule more of "my" place), light again my passion for technology, especially in the sustainable sphere, as I've hit a plateau and got quite bored of it, more sustainable computing (already began this one), be more calculated, eat enough, work out more, make meditation a habit, discover more passions and people, not get mad at silly things, research in-depth before creating an opinion about a subject, allowing myself to laugh more and have fun in my own way.

I honestly can't wait to sleep. Everything is better after a good night's sleep.

Cheers!
