An idea popped into my head regarding Bubble and "federation". I think it was discussed previously that making the Bubble software federate with other instances would add too much code and complexity. My idea is a kind of pseudo federation. I'm thinking on a user level you could combine posts from multiple subspaces into one feed. But instead of just multiple subspaces from the same instance, it could be posts from a different instance's subspace. More specifically, just take the gemini feed of that subspace and merge it with the one on your own instance. Then when you visit a post from the external instance's sub it just takes you to the post on that instance. If you used the same client cert on both then you could still reply as normal.
I feel like that approach would be much simpler to accomplish than true federation while giving you one of the biggest benefits of federation. Posts from different instances all in one easy to browse place. Combined with using the same cert making it seamless to also reply to posts from other instances. Thoughts?
P.S. Yes, there would be some privacy concerns with using the same client cert for multiple sites. It would be something to consider but having one cert just for bubble instances might be worth the convenience.
