Solar Flare
2022-02-13
The temperatures were forcasted to be in the low 70's today with lots of sun, so the Mrs. and I went for a ride on the bike. It was indeed a very sunny day and the temperature got to about 68 degrees. Very nice for mid-February. I had to stop along the way for gas and just happened to get a glimpse of the rear tire. I almost wish I hadn't. There was almost no tread in the center of the tire and I was concerned we could have a blow-out before getting home, but we made it just fine. I'll have to get the tires replaced and have it inspected this week. I'm actually kind of glad as now it'll be ready for warm weather riding with very little prep involved.
The occasional warm day in the winter has me thinking of spring. Then the very next day the high temperature doesn't span 40 degrees and we receive a dusting of snow - just so that I don't get too carried away with thoughts of spring so early in the year. Thanks mother nature.
