Physical books are cool. Been reading a lot of them recently, but I went back to read a book on my kindle, because that's how I got it.
The experience of reading on a kindle is almost universally better in most situations. In bed, on the couch, at my desk. I can prop the thing up, its font size is changeable, I can hold it with one hand. The main problem with the kindle is its maker and its store. Of course I put all my books on there with Calibre because Amazon is awful. (I've had the kindle since before I realized Amazon was evil and have had no reason to replace it.)
Real books are cool too. I just got a copy of the Silmarillion and it came with maps! I'm reading the Hobbit to my daughter on the kindle and the main drawback is that the pictures and maps would look way cooler on a real book. And of course all my textbooks and reference books are physical objects. Much easier to page through them that way. It is important that they are able to lay flat when open, though. Many I've had couldn't do that and that makes for a poor reference book!
Both types have their drawbacks and benefits. I prefer the kindle for casual reading, which is most of my reading, but physical objects to have a certain charm, and usefulness.
