I gotta write something.

The Forever War by Joe Haldeman

https://www.google.co.kr/books/edition/The_Forever_War/hyLctwEACAAJ

I first read The Forever War when I was in the army service, year 2015. It was one of the few books that looked interesting in the English books section of the military library. I would have read anything to keep myself occupied during that time, and this book turned out to be very entertaining.

I just finished reading it, or rather listened to it, the second time on

the Storytel app

. I was trying out this audiobook app and it seems now that its collection is quite solid.

The Forever War is a military science fiction. It follows the story of William Mandella who at the beginning is drafted into a conflict against the alien species called Tauran. During the few years time of his service, due to the relativistic effect hundreds years pass in the earth. The book speculates various changes in the human society and technology during that span of time and depicts the protagonist's effort to adapt to those changes.

As I would have suspected, the effects of relativity do complicate things quite a lot for interstellar travellers.

I am so confused

I am going to sleep for second.
