Earlier this month I wrote about how plain text doesn't have to be boring. At the end of the post, I mentioned that I had written a Python script to take a text file and make it look more interesting by arranging the text across pages and columns and applying some Gemini formatting.
Glog Post 'Nothing plain about plain text!' (14 May)
I have since extended it a little so that it will also convert an existing Gemini formatted file into HTML, e.g. for cross-posting under different protocols.
Given recent discussion that Gemini content shouldn't be hard-wrapped, this utility may be less useful than when I wrote it. I personally prefer hard wrapped text as it looks the same everywhere I that I choose to display it ... but that's me.
Anyway, if software is ever going to be useful to anyone then it should at least be made available!
So without further ado ... well, apart from following a link ...
