Briain Kelly, 16 Jun
This weekend promises yet more rainy weather in Galway after getting to
enjoy a weeks long sunny spell.
Showers of rain will remain persistent across Galway today, heaviest in
coastal areas and during the evening time.
There will be some hazy patches of sunshine interspersed during the day
also, along with isolated thunderstorms during the evening.
Highest temperatures on Friday of 17 to 19 degrees, with moderate variable
winds.
Saturday will start off poorly, with rain showers, heavy at times, in the
early morning according to Met Eireann.
However, those should clear up to allow for mixed cloudy and sunshine
during the rest of the morning and the early afternoon.
However, heavy rain is expected to develop once again as the day
progresses, with thunderstorms forecast for later in the day and into
Saturday night.
Saturday promises to be warm and muggy, with highest temperatures of 20 to
22 degrees, and only light southeasterly and variable breezes.
Sunday promises to be another slight improvement, with only light rain
showers, heavy at times in places.
There also promises to be plenty of sunshine on Sunday, particularly in
the morning and early afternoon.
Highest temperatures on Sunday of 18 to 20 degrees, with only light
variable breezes.
