About my Folklore.org conversion project

Andy Hertzfeld was an early Apple employee who created Folklore.org, which contains an oral history of Apple Inc. and the creation of the first Macintosh computer. The majority of these posts were all collected into the 320 page book "Revolution in the Valley", published by O'Reilly Media in 2004.

All this content is licensed by Andy Hertzfeld under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 1.0 Generic (CC BY-NC 1.0) Licence.

Unfortunately over the years Folklore.org has decayed, and content and structure has many issues that make reading it a poor experience:

I extracted all the posts and their metadata from Folklore.org, cleaned up the content to fix the above issues, and converted them all to Markdown for easier reading and converting to other formats. The markdown is available via GitHub. I then converted that Markdown to Gemtext for publication here.
