The following HERA posts comprise a BinSCII'ed
SHRINKIT archive containing the HERA program disk
(side 1 of a 5.25) and the other containing the
HERA player disk (side 2 of a 5.25).
PLEASE post this game around on your local Apple II
BBS's etc.

HERA is an adventure game along the lines of the
old Ultima games. It will run on II+ with 64k and a
//e (not sure about the gs.)
Disk drive must boot from slot #6. Make a copy of
the player disk, since the game writes to it as you
play, so you may want to keep a "virgin" copy.
This game was written many moons ago, when I was
just a wee lad.
But it is cool. Some of the features:
Written entirely in 6502 assembly code...game is as
fast as it can go on an Apple II.
Full color and animation of monsters etc.
Towns, Villages, Castles, a Monestary, wandering
nomad camp, etc.
Advanced terrain, including desert and arctic
regions.
Boats, and Submarines!
Smart monsters, don't get stuck behind
corners...they will get you!
Pirates...look out for your boat!
Many types of land and sea monsters.
Supports Apple II joystick, with "smart" buttons.
Sound and music (built in speaker)
Lots of armours, weapons, etc. and all that stuff
your used to in adventure type games.
...and much much more.
Your objective...go to all the tonws etc., talk to
everyone...find your way into Skull Mountain! and
kill the evil wizard Zarebae, to restore order to
the great lands of HERA!

whoa! did I say all that? <g>
But seriously, it is worth the download.
Hope you all enjoy it...its an oldie, but a
goodie...but, hey, that's what were all used to on
the venerable Apple II! THE computer that started
the home PC revolution!
