83 - Burying cars.

joneworlds@mailbox.org

We do this every day. We load up another old car onto this flatbed truck we got, which is actually like a mini school bus welded to a flatbed truck chassis, all riding on huge off-road tires all around. It's actually a totally rad rig. Anyways, a bunch of us get in and take the car somewhere out into the wilderness. Then, we set to work with shovels, digging a big deep hole and drop the car down into it. Then, whoever's turn it is this time, gets into that car with these three special bottles of water and one for drinking. Then, we recite a whole pile of stuff to bless the water and the earth and ourselves and whatever. I'm still trying to memorize it all, but I can mumble along for now. Then, we feed a silicone tube into the car for air, close the doors, and we bury them alive in that car. Then a whole bunch more recited texts. And then we leave!

For three days they'll stay in there, fasting and praying and gradually pouring the water from the three bottles through a whole we put in the floor of the car. And when the three days is up, we come back and dig them out. We leave a little blue box and key in the car, and another bottle of water, bury the car again, and we leave.

A job's a job I guess. What I am getting is that all this is somehow repairing the ruined aquifers and poisoned water tables. I don't really understand how any of this burying business helps with that at all, or that our water was even a problem. But I have a lot to learn still, like I say I haven't even memorized all the texts yet. And our leader is completely committed to all this, and he's a very smart man, I should know, I met him one time. All this is a huge amount of work, and it's not like we're going against anybody, or harming anything. I'm no hydrologist or whatever, and I'm not so capable of researching everything myself, so I just got to have faith that all these smart and hard-working people in this cult or whatever it is, are doing something to help. And I can too.
