I was eating fruit yesterday, because eating fruit is a really good idea when you can get fruit. I take a bite out of my fruit -- which by the way is an apple -- and there is something inside it. I just about had bitten it. It is some sort of metal-looking pin, but clear in parts, with a fatter bit at the bottom, and a curly part at the top like a little spring. And the even weirder thing is that it has a tiny slowly-blinking light on the side, and there is this very faint sound - like a high-pitched whirring or switching, in step with the little blinking light. I am not one of those electronics-knowing people, but I get an intuition that it is a transmitter of some kind. And I cannot tell you how violated it makes me feel, that they would put something like that in there. In my food. It crosses a line for me, if there are any of those left to be crossed.
And so I go up the side of the west hill where some of my smaller holes still are. I throw the little thing down into one, and a stick of dynamite. You'd be amazed at how many uses you will find for holes in the ground, if you have lots of them. Maybe they weren't such a bad idea after all. Anyways, it is pretty loud and it blows some crud pretty high, and it probably pisses off the centaurs who I could hear cussing from their sun decks down the slope, but I'm okay with that, and they didn't see me do it.
And since I am out there I hike up to the ridge to get some inter net. I search for transmitters in fruit, but could not find that much about it. But I do find this song about a "banana marker" which I think could be a similar thing, although it is not quite clear.

Anyways, there is a lot of really interesting material on that yam six hundred fifty five site and you should check that out if you can. But do watch out for stuff in your fruit.
