observing of two towers, clocks upon each
still hands marking time unchanging
agreeing, in that un-hastened moment
my frustration that with not even a second between them
there relies upon their foundations a sinking speculation
around foundations below where building merges
one single granite door, its frame still warm from carving
scrolled in shallowest of script, one phrase repeated
translated to read, from that ancient tongue, pause and redirect
but storm-heavy and the lintel untroubled, my tent ties in
covering discovery where I ��ve rolled sleeping
entering as secundus, that well-begotten dream slipping
somewhere between sleepwalking and welcomed, then
finally resting palm upon silver-in-glass, melting wonder
a breath, a click, and waking in tent as the door I ��ve rolled against
swings open
