Thief Of My Delighted Heart

somewhere beyond the screaming in my head
a soft mew welcomes me home, winds under
trips me into the wrought iron hat stand and ��
with a joyous squeak �� absconds with fish
bloody scale trail leaving from my insulated bag
amplifying night shadows in criminal patterns
here a hard left on the couch, clear drag marks
spatter demonstrating angles and acceleration
heavy need clearly driving that low-slung malcontent
wherever they went, follow the trail, snacking
guess it ��s salad for dinner again, and laundry
spinning now in that mechanical stack, behind which
one can see a trail vanish, a tail signing ambush
those delightful wiggles of someone crunching
