upon examination
of those lovely fountain pens
where cost participation stems the flow
I weep black tears
I collect black tears
I write my path to freedom
but crying makes me ugly
worse than ink comes out
first watercolor snot shoots steaming
then egg tempera from the reaming
to woe and misery the cleaning
solves itself without
in patient brush
my dearest friends
if in my cribbed hand words you knew
were composed from heart ��s own joyous flood
then lest redacted and retracted
the autoclave ��s in use
