we, drops
back into forensic analysis
moment-arm into a room
we, caching parts
where fire has been
trickling back to source
say that fire is the motivating factor
that on a regular basis
we wander burned buildings
progressive series
elements for when establishing fire
ballistics, explosive damage
ever-pay insurance
holographic space
how eye sees water patterns
ceiling tiles pulled
towards characteristic marks
shorted fluorescent light ballast
draws ripples
mind turns over image
relieved, correct failsafes
placed
patterns are burned into mind
doubling back, absorption imprint
remember
oxidizer escapes
chlorine source
here's how it happens
discoloration, not spill
slow leak, twisting in behind
ashen substrate
