with modern tools and memetic images
we place words in the mouths of the dead
when in another time, soft spoken
we ��d have taken seriously
may they rest in peace
not for their own sake, but for ours
in this current chill of waiting, waiting
for that loved hand upon the shoulder
squeezing frozen memories
that when I wander long and gone
I might yet sing the eddas
pausing just a phrase in song
to remind of not my words
not my mouth, not my voice
do not speak them for me
