compensating for tired and stupid becomes habit
whether the meat ��s manufacturing it ��s own pain
or some kind soul has provided outside assistance
in the borderlands between questions un-endearing
under-hearing aquifer ��s shivering abatement
progresses from possession to fractional hydraulics
pressured geologic leverage as though it might track
beyond time-redacting light one parses showers
chemicals �� intubated revivification spalling
cloth and water tendering make anoints stagnation
returning invented arsenic in chokepoint closure
bubbling up pyrite treasure winning liquid infinite now
that long recursive disease of human fleeting
imperfect, impious, imprecated �� receding
were you to have come to my table, o guest
fresh bread spread before you, honeyed, buttered
we might have been friends �� or at least amends
might then have been stated �� however exhausted
to pause over drinking strong tea, a chair for your burden
but you ��ve chosen your answers already, unsteadily
drawing that deepest dry well �� and calling it telling
