almost asleep
I blamed the potato salad
eating before bed
styling not dream, but dismay
mayonnaise shivering questions
extending conscious direction
suggesting strong possibility
it too consuming my potatoes
a convalescent nap in spices
before rousing to starch
cutest pod fingers reaching out
enveloping boiled delights
slighting that self-aware form
yum eating yum �� eating
leading my drowsing form
deeply into customer service
where one cannot safely return
intelligent condiments
