my convection oven ��s camera photographs my failures
breads that don ��t rise, muffins that engage in area-denial
a thing, sharing with the internet of similar
ringing into where once was void �� come hither
and lo, my chocolate chip cookies, nearly complete
from rest-time to auto-cycle start at perfect Kelvin
call resonant and deep, raising from that endless vacancy
response in spiraled shelter, kitchen tile roiled
runed, unspoiled in its ethereal sanitation
flour ��s seventy percent carbon dioxide inhibition
raised to prophetic inclusion, sugars just so
cats greeting that unspeakable name with headbutts
sniffing along the boundary interchange
double-checking mothership ��s new faceless inclusions
LED blue thousand-eyed slits blinking homecoming
laying out gooshy food in trade, before grabbing cookies
flowing up the stairs, easing my sleep paralysis
passing over milk, one baked perfection, one selection
it may never get the bread right, but waking to cookies
in liminal tracks, finding no relapse, becomes sign
friends arriving in my stone shelter along the estuary
crows a-flight murder doorbell, electric sight
welcoming �� to come, sit, speak easy �� we many sing
