Path of the New Glade

we say the human race ended
that it was best for all involved
but the truth we have discovered
uncovered in the old archives
is that it was with great dignity
our ancestors migrated galaxies
to avoid that species �� desperate desire
to snuggle our fiercest warriors
as our trials rage unchecked
it is with great trepidation
I approach our clan elders
that I might return from whence we came
with those few scholars like myself
distinguished both in battle and learning
to discover whether that desire holds true
for indeed, soft warm things light my skin
having grown tired of this endless stance
that I might find me my own humans
in the smallest fractures between voids
and claim them kin
