desiring words
we plugged in that fountain pen
quest-lit thing hauled bodily from closet
expecting writers block to fade
getting instead cats in ink
accelerated, stealing pawprints to everything
whole worlds in-whished
ceiling waxed paw by pause
signatory runes closing each palpable entry
demanding alternation in current
nestling down, pinpricked laps
tails in drumbeat tattooed, brushwork lightening
snuggles in scrying
words within
