Emergence Waft Draught

last time that bell rang, slow, deep, slow
fourteen billion years fluttered in vast rain
realms in stream rippling, tapestry dampness
brushing itself in mordant release
abstract beauties materializing, temporal sift
lifting them warp and weft from panel
laying whether trail, a strain in pouring
of will, will-not, willing, weightless
until all points coterminal in that final city
a pinpoint final equality come among
slow, deep, slow in warming shelter
today, local event, slow, deep requisition, slow
crosscurrent crosscut, in wires one stowed life
wakes traffic pause, hammock between conductors
washed fabric releasing in scandalous thrift
forever an adjacent memory of wanton sleep
wrung in tightest reliquary of darkest new
back into uncharted, some three-second universe
its fathomless hearts �� denizen turning in arc-light
surprised into awareness, grumbling
exhaling uncounted new galaxy seeds
slow, deep, slow, snooze pouring afterglow
