Averaging Outcomes

under unspeakable pressure, hemophage churns
conscripting overwhelming positivity applied to being human
or its inverse, the contaminating vileness of inhuman behavior
but on observation of humans, one quickly determines
that averaging out across the lot renders them unconscionable
outliers tearing streamers from background radiation
but mostly a steady monotone of cancellation upon themselves
stretching for those moments where a great predation culls
claiming all the while how good its being, swaths of consent
ruined in its passing, having grouped and applied in ecstasy
that overwhelming alternation of positive and negative
where humanity might be represented by capacitance filtration
no less than any sub-grouping of itself that it reviles or raises
each upon its plinth, generic monolith vibrating
claiming of consent that each willing complicity
begets convenience in generational apathy
building the next foundation, next pillar, next point
squeezing for blood of its own, stone by stone
