Human Fallacy

if you feel threatened, I understand
that the color of my skin
the gender I ��ve been stuffed in
the non-gender that I ��ve chosen
the god that didn ��t call me
the nation what claims to own me
reminds
of someone who violated
targeted, destroyed
maybe even got you
or maybe just looks
like that one story
defines
the dirty on the road
the hunger unchecked
the monster in the shadow
but I might as well say of you
you appear to be human
we know
we have evidence
that humans rape
murder, starve
torture, engage
in every despicable breach
cast consent aside
as though for the weak
as though for the fun
because
they
can
and there ��s a lever here
in every case, but narrower
that if we categorize
and apply the actions of some
to all, that a human might be stopped
defended against, because they do
things, because human
and it matters not
whether all, some, or none
did those things
just insert, pry
and done
that those divided things
are weaker, more easily done to
more easily reacted to
without thinking
without even needing
consent
after all
it ��s human
burn it down
truly, by that measure
we can then fully know
the monster, the enemy
the breach
is we
