someone suggested
I should gain contact
with my inner peace
by addressing gender identity
through anatomically correct Muppets
claiming this way lay structure
instead, my concepts
both of gender identity
and wirework
took one closely self-examined hiccup
then woke in a corn field
surrounded by crop circles
ancient runes spelling warning
sometimes the gender identity
gazes back
blank, patient, empty of drive
a starless, cloudless sky
of absolutely anything
