One Giant Leap

when the shifters went public
we were at the cusp of starflight
where FTL required unspeakable energy
pinching that fold between realms
curious messages from beyond
suggesting the cusp of travel
would include galactic community
we ��d estimated something like
four ounces, water split to hydrogen
and oxygen, fusion to helium
our source, our distance limited
by conservation of mass
instead, it was a one of the puma-kin
maths-mad and thrashed on creamy kisses
gurgling hey �� I weigh 120 kilos
but only 90 in my other skin
give me a week �� and a lot of beer
let ��s see what happens
input, 21 liters, fuzzy-skin
output, 27 liters, made of win
side notes, all the things beer
won ��t go well with, catnip, vinegar chips
not to include heavy cream
so it came to pass
a few hundred encrypted emails later
we can have our silence �� or the stars
and loves, who can miss that beauty
stretched between stories
we ��re gonna run our cruise service
on sample jars
