we used to consider an event horizon immutable from without
the point beyond which energy exchange ceased, hard stop
we used to consider liminal spaces event chambers
beyond which perception of actions distorted, victor contaminated
co-terminal archivist travelers scoured edge cases listening
for that chaotic radiation in transition armistice, crossing threshold
calling fallen gods to listen, o listen
rotate thine eyes, charge thy void
we, the between who would die for you
prefer instead to live for ourselves
brushing forever your infinite compression
