you ��re for a different pinnacle than I
some point above grave precipice
to hang your pride and penance
just banished there, a flag, a furrow
self-dug, self-seized
you seem, if not happy
content, a permanent emplacement
where I ��d so often prefer
this lovely novel, an eggy rice
something transitory, nice
and while I do not see the value
in your long self-retribution
nor you in those long-spaced visits
fraught with conversation
we both still part un-sundered
perhaps wonder at the other
heights well owned, well wandered
which scarcity and plenty
is joy enough
