lay a claim
land of birth, family
recognize, protection
but blood is a passerby
sips and fingerprints
struck mulled and aged
bottled acid earths
alkali grounds
between solutions
angular slit
hydrating old tired
instead wakes tongue
composed entirely
of cream cheese
softened warm
between striations
marbling under
fish oil, workings
caught a clove, sanam
becoming intake
dust-caked rice-flake
three second pause
