Two Illuminations

my adoration for polite monsters
is nothing of monstrousness
it ��s of the win conditions
true, some have not written down their rules
truer still, some must still be rendered down to bone
their paths utterly unacceptable
but walking to the dragon ��s cave
having run out of monastery books
landed lovely conversation
grave eyes gone warm despite the years
sweet serpent, the only treasure I found to desire
was quiet evenings reading beside you
would that I could now tell you
we share hoards in hand on changing paper
the better to admire your children
