we found our worst enemy in a weak moment
both theirs and ours, and in the aftermath
conversationally, someone uttered that old saw
looking at each other, however, we realized
that no, really, we rather would wish that upon them
so we built them a barrow to the specifications of their gods
and ensured a most delicious afterlife of retribution
by utterly filling it with the pudding they liked least
