sipping constraint
in ward we were offered gifts for every depression
wrapped well and revealed in gaudy tapestry of hunt
or swirled decoctions to swallow, later in steel
that by filling we might more evenly bear yoke fitting
harnessed to our teams, hard eyes and soft hands
stripping complaint
reflected in gas-and-bronze mirror to very compliant
loaded with seed-pearl anchors in sea gone fey
tide upon the middle road lifting royal parade
success upon success, calamitous to extremities
hand up, turn from the wrist, blank smile for blank glaze
not drowning, behaving
floating just so, should an ocean-foamed second child unhorse
mudded, flicker aside just so, that one broken sewer grate
a bypassed shipwreck ��s dead eye, giving way summer storm-wash
still full of city display, ripping quilted coverings, head above
one might break cover, recover and transit �� away, away, away
digging out that deepest gauzed sufferance
to find concealed well, volition
