my least favorite part of writing poetry
pertains to word drop, how one ��s typing along
and thirty seconds later it ��s impossible to tell
whether the missing word was lagged out by keyboard
or in the pathways between brain and fingers
and thirty years gone one might as well pack it in
knowing that drop was deliberate �� or not
because the brain still fills the gap
