once upon a time, the theory was, it was easier
whistle the right pitch, repair a couple of 1541 drives
figure out the joyport dongle - good to go
a golden era
I loved it, and love it still.
when calling the next town over for an hour
could cost more than a month's unlimited data/voice/text
on a modern phone, monopoly control cheerfully dipping its needle in
when information sifted more slowly
but seeing the pointed white hoods the next town over on occasion and thinking
well, at least we don ��t have the klan in this town
was an expression of
we ��ve got it good here
I was appalled by it, and am appalled by it still
the terms change, the legends change, the

we are mistaken in nearly every regard
