at the edges of perception, a calico doom fluff purrs on
having finally, after seventeen elongated perceptual hours
expanded from the bare minimum of an equivalent number of minutes
had themselves a lie-down
and exhausted yet doomed to attraction
I whisper pspsps
because they could be purring closer to my head
and getting snuggles
seventeen and one half additionally stretched perceptual hours later
seven pounds of purring cruft is draped across my face
breathing has become complicated, but the headache is smelted to nothing
under tummy refractory
